The annual Golf Open is an important fundraiser for GCS. The funds raised during the tournament provide for the furtherment of GCS’s mission of helping municipal leaders build vibrant, economically prosperous and well-managed cities and to improve the quality of life of city residents.

All proceeds from the tournament go to support programs and initiatives of GCS in the following focus areas: Youth Leadership and Engagement, Economic and Workforce Development, Equity and Inclusion, and Research and Innovation.

The 2023 Community Impact Awards showcased the innovative work GCS is doing to help Georgia cities thrive and provide all residents with opportunities to reach their full potential. To shine a spotlight on these efforts, the program included award presentations in three categories:

Ambassador Andrew Young served as the Honorary Chair, and a Host Committee of business and civic leaders and an Honorary Mayors Host Committee, also supported the event.

Proceeds raised from the inaugural Community Impact Awards will support Georgia City Solutions’ three focus areas:
  • Equity and Inclusion
  • Municipal Workforce Development
  • Youth Leadership and Engagement
