March 24

Georgia City Solutions (GCS) has received a $40,000 grant from the Volcker Alliance to fund the development of a workforce needs assessment and a job recruitment strategy for two Georgia cities as part of its Jobs With Purpose (JWP) initiative.

The JWP initiative is designed to assist cities proactively address their workforce needs through investment, planning, and strategy implementation.

“The Volcker Alliance is keenly focused on strengthening the public sector workforce,” said Sara Mogulescu, President of the Volcker Alliance. “We are excited to learn from the Jobs With Purpose initiative in Georgia, which we hope can serve as a model for local governments around the country that are urgently looking to attract talent.”

The pilot project is expected to be complete by early summer 2023.
